Confirm the species in the title matches the description. Confirm the carat weight and the millimetre measurements are both present if size matters to the setting. Read the treatment in the body of the listing, not only a word in the title. If origin is stated, know that you can ask what that statement is based on.
Look at every photo and any 360 view. Check for a window, a chip at the girdle, and an obvious color zone. Then read the price with the stone’s actual quality in mind, not against a different species.
