Seylan Gems & Jewelry
Birthstones are a gift custom: a gem traditionally tied to a month. They are a pleasant way to narrow a choice. They are not medicine, and we do not sell them as a promise about planets, marriage, or fortune.

The month is a starting point. The stone you give should still be a good stone: honest treatment, a size that fits the setting, and a color the person will wear. If we do not have that month’s traditional gem in stock, we will say so. We will not rename a different species so the calendar looks complete.
April is the clearest example. Diamond is the traditional stone. A white sapphire is a sapphire. It can be a beautiful colorless gift. It is not a diamond, and we will not sell it as one.
We do not claim a gem treats an illness, removes a family difficulty, or changes a chart of the sky. Other sellers build businesses on those claims. That is not this business. If you are choosing a gift for a birthday, an anniversary, or a birth month, we can help you compare color, durability, and price among stones we actually have.
Durability still matters more than the month. Emerald and opal need gentler wear than sapphire or spinel. Say how the jewelry will be worn and we will steer you toward a stone that can survive that life.
Pick the month, then open the species guide for that gem if we have written one. Check carat against millimetres. Read the treatment line. Look at the stone in more than one photo. If you want it set, tell us the metal and whether it is a ring or a pendant so the size makes sense.
The tradition is yours to enjoy. The facts on the product page are ours to get right.
