Hessonite is an orange to brownish-orange grossular garnet. Ceylon stones are a traditional part of that trade. The color should be read as garnet, not as a substitute for sapphire and not as a promise about planets.

Fine hessonite often shows a swirled, syrupy interior. Gemologists treat that rolled look as characteristic, not as a surprise inclusion. It is still worth seeing in a photo or a 360 view, because a heavily included stone and a lively one are not the same price.
It is singly refractive, which separates it from orange zircon and from sapphire.
Look for a warm cinnamon or orange that stays transparent enough to show the interior. A dead brown is a different stone commercially, even if the species name is the same.
We do not sell hessonite as a remedy, a rashi stone, or a weight chosen for astrology. We sell it as a gem with a color, a size, and a description you can read.
Both can be orange garnets. Hessonite is grossular and often shows that rolled interior. Spessartine is a different member of the garnet group. The listing should say which one.
